Inflation Is Not Inevitable
State money turns protection into a hidden subscription fee. Zcash is one possible exit from inflation, forced exposure, and financial systems built for control.
There's no intrinsic necessity for inflation.
Inflation is the consequence of the government's monopoly on issuing currency and managing violence.
The promise of providing a safe state comes at a cost, which all of us are paying right now, ranging from 12–99% annually depending on your region and your financial literacy.
This promise originated in the Industrial Age, and due to the lack of technology, information spread so thinly that everyone had to accept it. This then became a custom: thinking of currency as a service that we don’t pay for directly, but pay for through inflation every year.
The internet money, or crypto, that many are working towards is not something built out of hobby or for earning generational wealth by scamming others. It came out of necessity.
Crypto is the only path we can choose to beat inflation and get out of the custom rules set by governments for their benefit.
NOTE: I am not talking about fiat-pegged currencies like USDC, USDT, etc. They are just bringing adoption and getting people into the habit of using cryptocurrency. Apart from that, they are causing the same inflation and following the same rules — some even stricter than fiat cash.
Which currencies at present can qualify to get us out of the system?
-> The only one I can think of objectively is Zcash.
Simple reasons:
- It’s not issued by a central authority or government, so they can’t change its supply. Max 21 million ever.
- It won’t necessarily be an inflationary currency. Right now it is, as it is being mined, but once all 21 million are mined, there’s no reason for it to remain inflationary.
- It provides ACTUAL PROTECTION. The privacy feature is not only to avoid the government, but also to avoid violence, because no one will be able to find out who owns how much. This is a requirement to get out of the current system. Why? Because when the government fails, the pricing of protection gets commercialised, and it’s always better to not tell anyone how much you really own.
What needs to happen?
-> The adoption/usage of it needs to increase. Not only between ETFs and your friends, but from your coffee place to your payroll.
How and when will this happen?
-> It will take long, but not very long, because the current global state is already presenting evidence of increased violence, inflation, and governments falling. People in affected regions just need to be introduced to Zcash before they get into the trap again by adopting USD or USDC.
What can you do right now?
-> Get $ZEC, convince your friends to get some, pay your splits in ZEC, pay merchants through platforms like zcashto[.]cash, and use it wherever you can.
The initial response from governments to adoption will be either penalising people for using it — though they can’t control it — or increasing the value of their services. They will bring different schemes and provide better yields to get the liquidity. But this deflationary state will be over once the impact of adoption kicks in.
These impacts will be:
- lower service costs
- better production value
- better resource management
The reason for these impacts is the wasteful and inefficient management of resources by the current system. The cyber economy, or cryptocurrency adoption, will bring resources into the hands of responsible and qualified sovereign individuals who will deploy capital in much better places, more efficiently, instead of spending most of it on politics and violence.
